About Edgebrook School Friends

Our Mission: to raise funds that support programs at Edgebrook Elementary School which help to enrich our children's education and make Edgebrook a vibrant community

We are a 501-c3 non-profit organization that aims to bring together Edgebrook parents and community supporters to support Edgebrook Elementary School in Chicago.

We are parent volunteers who plan, run and manage various fundraising activities in order to raise funds to support Edgebrook students. We work closely with the school to help cover CPS budget short falls. Our funding helps support:

  • Education Curriculum - math coaching

  • Art - salary and supplies

  • STEM - supplies
  • Music - equipment
  • Technology - salary
  • Events - teacher appreciation, field day, trunk or treat
  • Sports - uniforms
  • Teachers - supply stipend

Tax deductible donations go to providing our students with technology, fine arts and additional learning to make our school a truly diverse and top-rated public school. ESF coordinates school community-building events, funds capital improvements, and provides additional academic programs not paid for by Chicago Public Schools.

Our organization is crucial to subsidizing the gap between public school funding and academic excellence.

ESF meets on the second Monday of every month at 7PM in the commons or virtually. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. You can also join us by volunteering to help us with communication, run events and more.
